Tanklagerausrüstung

Valves and pumps in oil tank farms are operated frequently, with changing media, but only have to cover pressures up to about 6 bar in normal operation. Our company has therefore developed a sealing program specially tailored to tank farms.

  Retrofitting fittings

Tank farm valves can be converted at the spindle seal on site and when the tank is full. Spring-loaded stuffing box packings are used, which have low friction values for easy switching of the spindles and are designed for an operating pressure of at least 16 bar.

A complete reconditioning of the valves must be carried out in the workshop when they are removed, as the cover seal is also replaced in this case.

All materials used have a TA-Luft certificate. Valves with the spindle seal described have now been certified in accordance with EN 15848.

  Conversion of pumps

Pumps can be retrofitted in accordance with TA-Luft either in the workshop or on site. Conversion is also possible in the smallest of installation spaces, even if the available space is not sufficient for a conventional double-acting mechanical seal.

The on-site conversion process has the advantage that the pump does not have to be removed from the tank. The following steps are necessary:

  • Data recording on site with the pump empty
  • Re-closing of the pump and continued operation for approx. 6 weeks (period for material provision)
  • Conversion on site with subsequent pressure test

  Maintenance and repair service

We offer maintenance for all retrofitted fittings:

  • Checking the set sealing forces
  • Checking the operability of the valves
  • Cleaning and lubrication of designated points
  • Test report

The maintenance interval is agreed with the customer.

Furthermore, all types of minor repairs can also be carried out at technical locations that have not been retrofitted.
