Carrier gaskets are flange gaskets whose special feature is a very stable carrier. This holds 2 spiral wound gaskets in tandem construction, which are in secondary frictional connection after the sealing force has been adjusted

• Ilays certified according to TA-Luft
• Gasket almost free of settling
• Small sealing surfaces required (gasket width for diameter 1500 mm = 15 mm)
• Carrier reusable

• inner diameter > 30 mm
• Outer diameter with unwelded carrier up to 1490 mm
• Outer diameter with welded carrier up to 2200 mm
• Standard height = 12 mm
• minimum height = 8 mm
• minimum carrier width = 10 - 12 mm (depending on outer diameter)

Applications

• Design pressure: up to approx. 400 bar (higher pressures on request)
• Design temperature: up to approx. 750 °C
• for applications with extreme tightness (e.g. diesel production purity sulfur < 20ppm)
• for high temperature changes during operation
• for substitution of RTJ seals in case of RTJ grooves that cannot be reworked
